Lonely Me
It was the cold winter of 2024. I was young and struggling with typical youthful problems—depression and emotional turmoil. At that time, I was working on my first college thesis, alone at home. To cope with my sadness, I began overeating, which marked the start of my unhealthy relationship with food.
As I grew older, I found myself feeling more and more out of place in social circles. Maybe I was too selective with friends, or maybe I was just misunderstood, but loneliness became a constant companion. To express those feelings, I began creating a series of GIFs, each capturing the solitude I felt inside. It was like I was observing myself, always playing alone, disconnected.
Eventually, I combined these GIFs into what became the Lonely Me animation. To complete the piece, I chose the song "WE" by Chinese musician Ke Ding as the background music, which perfectly resonated with the mood of the animation.
